What We’re Looking For:
The Analyst is responsible for tracking, compiling and reporting customer research metrics that may be derived from multiple data points to support business decisions.
This role requires the analyst to compile reports using measurement tools, social media platforms, online news and other data channels, organizing the data in formats suitable for analysis and drawing both quantitative and qualitative conclusions - delivering insights across various customer segments, genres and media platforms.
The analyst also supports the development of reports & reporting methodologies based on customer requirements and their own expert knowledge. The work involves data collection, analysis, insight generation, reporting to various departments and presenting findings back to the client as required.
The Analyst will work within a larger professional services team to support one of our biggest Enterprise client deliverables, all while thriving in a fast-growing and versatile organization that offers you empowerment and autonomy
Meltwater’s Insights Services team is responsible for curating bespoke reports and managing key projects of our biggest clients. We deliver business-essential intelligence reports based on our keen analyses of various media outlets across traditional and social media channels.

What you’ll do:
Technical & Operational Responsibilities:
Analyze complex data issues, think critically, and propose effective solutions.
Handle ad hoc requests with flexibility and responsiveness.
Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset, questioning data for accuracy and insights.
Show a willingness to learn and actively contribute to projects.
Understand and manage complex deliverables, maintaining excellent communication and attention to detail.
Ensure accuracy and completeness in media analysis and data quality checks.
Work collaboratively within a team, thriving in a structured environment with recurring weekly tasks while also handling daily ad hoc requests.
Utilize experience with manually tagged or curated datasets, implementing data quality control standards to maintain content relevancy and data accuracy.
Manage interactions with internal and external stakeholders, aligning deliverables with client requirements and SLAs.
Collaborate with different teams, staying current on industry changes to produce best-in-class media insights and client deliverables.
Develop proficiency in Meltwater products to enhance the quality and relevance of reports.
People Development & Management Responsibilities:
Champion team culture and vision, leading by example.
Maintain open communication with the team to ensure smooth execution, delivery, and archiving of all deliverables.
Provide clear briefings, handovers, and mentoring to support team members at all levels.
What You'll Bring:
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in any field
2+ years' experience in an Analyst role, having relevant industry experience.
Relevant industry experience is defined as media insights / reporting & analytics / traditional or social media / media agencies & public relations / digital marketing / marketing & communications. Experience working with PR agencies is advantageous.
Experience working with Enterprise customers
Experience working in an agency is advantageous
Project management experience is advantageous
Skills
Knowledge of SaaS-based media tech and platforms, and media measurement KPIs
Proficient in Excel functions, formulas, and data manipulation techniques
Experience in setting up and using Power Query for efficient data transformation and analysis
Familiarity with PowerBI, with the ability to create insightful dashboards and reports is an advantage, but not required
Familiarity with processes related to Excel and data quality checking
Exposure to working with Booleans and search queries is considered a bonus
Excellent numerical skills, capable of identifying and resolving data discrepancies
Values efficiency and innovation, seeking ways to streamline processes and introduce improvements (proactively looks for ways to improve processes and workflows)
Team player mentality with excellent organizational and prioritization skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
High attention to detail
Exceptional stakeholder management skills
Business acumen and strong executive presence
Customer Experience (CX) knowledge.
An understanding of PR and Marketing roles, responsibilities and KPIs
Fluent, business-level proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English, with strong spelling and grammar skills.
